Common questions
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, select Calnexia, and cancel there. You’ll keep access until the end of the current billing period.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open the Profile tab and tap Restore Purchases (also available on the upgrade screen). Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.
Is my data private?
Yes. Calnexia has no ads, no trackers, and no account to create, and everything you log stays on your device — we don’t sell it or build profiles. The one exception is the optional AI logging feature: when you use it, the meal text you write — or the meal photo you choose — is sent through our server to Google’s Gemini to identify foods. It isn’t stored and isn’t linked to your identity, and the feature is off until you turn it on. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Does it use AI?
Optionally. AI-assisted logging lets you describe a meal in plain words — or photograph it — and turns it into food entries. It’s off by default and asks for a one-time confirmation before first use. Only the text you write or the photo you submit (plus your app language and a random, non-identifying ID) is sent through our server to Google’s Gemini — your profile, weight, and logs are never sent, and we use a paid tier that doesn’t train on your input. You can always log manually instead.
Does it work with Apple Health?
Optionally. With your permission, Calnexia reads your Active Energy — plus, on iPhone-only setups, your steps and walking distance — from Apple Health to refine your daily targets. It’s read-only — nothing is written back, and that data never leaves your device.
How do I export my data?
From the nutrition summary you can export a clean PDF to keep or share.
